Sanctity of Human Life Day
On January 22, 1984, Ronald Reagan designated the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. Sanctity of Human Life Day is a celebration of life in the midst of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling of Roe v. Wade in 1973.
Churches throughout the United States recognize the third Sunday of January as Sanctity of Human Life Day to celebrate God’s gift of life, commemorate lives lost to abortion, and commit to protecting human life at every stage.
